If you want to have fun in Kiev-you have a lot of opportunities. You can find different styles of clubs, restaurants and pubs .
Kiev is one of the best cities to see in Ukraine, and there are a lot of entertainment venues here . Your nightlife will kick off in a number of very interesting night spots. Most of them will welcome you on public holidays, -Fridays and Saturdays. These are the most crowded days and all of them provide a very warm welcome. If you want to party on another day of the week- the Vodka bar on Maydan Nezalezhnosti is open every night. Also Shooters club works throughout the week.
The interesting thing about Ukrainian clubs is that you can eat dinner there(it’s better to reserve table for comfort), smoke hookah (kalyan), watch a show, sing karaoke etc. Most of the clubs are located near or in the center of the city.
In the heart of Kiev is Kreschatik. – On Kreschatik you’ll find the most famous club Arena (Basseinaya 2 street). It is one of those huge clubs with 4 floors, which includes a sports area (to watch television, a champagne area, a dance club (where famous DJs often play) and a beerhouse.
There are also a few clubs nearby- Skybar, Arena city, Mantra, Salminsky.
Skybar is typical of these nightclubs, as it aims to “become a point of attraction for successful and famous people and the centre of club life”, according to its website. You’ll have a good time if you accept the rules and take it easy. What may make Skybar a little bit different is that it offers panoramic views of Kiev and an exclusive restaurant. Salminsky is also a classy nightclub, famous for its house and electro music and its cocktails. These are not only popular places for meeting Ukrainian clubbers, but also for meeting a lot of foreigners . Not far away is the Muzei club, which is on Muzeinii Pereulok 10- it is a new place.
If you want something a bit different then there are a few options. There is the Caribbean club which is for latina fans. You can find alternative music at the club Hlib. Don’t forget Art club 44, with it low-key cellar atmosphere, playing reggae, pop, jazz, blues and other types of relaxing music.
For a more laid-back and often more western atmosphere, there are a range of bars, some a little seedy, which cater for foreigners and provide a relaxing atmosphere. Some of these cater for “lost” tourists. Even providing “hostesses” , who will sit next to you ordering expensive Coca-colas (Shooters bar)! A more pub like atmosphere can be found at O’briens, Dockers
If you like karaoke you can visit one of the karaoke-restaurants – Moskva restaurant, Just cafe, Godzila, Mafia, amongst others.
